Position Summary:
The Senior Systems Consultant position is responsible for applying consulting services methodologies and
providing leadership in the installation, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft and Citrix products.
The position requires the ability to execute projects independently, supervise a project team, or lead a small
project. A Senior Consultant assumes responsibility for the team's completion of deliverables and is held
accountable for the team's success. The Senior Consultant is expected to mentor junior consultants on
methodology, best practices, technology, and general consulting skills. Strong problem solving and analytical
abilities are required for the position. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Primary Accountabilities:
A Senior Consultant works on complex problems and addresses broad design issues that impact the implementation
success of projects. The individual exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and
evaluation criterion for obtaining results. This individual is responsible and accountable for the work output
of a consulting team and the effective delegation of work to more junior consultants.
The primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a project lead.
- Act as the primary senior technology advisor with the client.
- Collaborate with a Moose Logic salesperson to determine a client's business needs and recommend an appropriate
solution to meet those needs.
- Act as a Microsoft and Citrix product and technology expert.
- Effectively execute Moose Logic service offerings and communicate their value.
- Participate in business development activities.
- Identify additional opportunities with current clients.
- Assume responsibility/accountability for project deliverables.
- Understand the project “big picture” and the impact of different areas on the whole project.
- Mentor junior consultants on proper methodology, best practices, technology, and general consulting skills.
- Flexibly meet varying levels of expertise depending on the job.
- Proactively seek to expand knowledge and supplement skills through appropriate use of books, manuals, and other
self-study and point of need training.
Qualifications:
The Senior Consultant must have 7+ years of demonstrated technical problem solving experience as well as strong
communication and documentation skills. This position requires detailed knowledge and hands on experience with
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop technology. The individual in this position must be self-starting, flexible,
dependable, capable of multi-tasking, and posses the ability to quickly learn new products and technologies.
The successful candidate for this position will possess an advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows
operating systems for servers and desktops as well as proficiency with common office productivity software such
as Microsoft Office. Additionally an advanced knowledge of networking technologies in several of the following
areas is required:
- Active Directory implementation
- Windows server setup and configuration
- Understanding of DNS, WINS, DHCP, IIS and other complementary Microsoft server technologies
- Network Security
- Routing
- Firewall configuration
- Networking
- TCP/IP
- Scripting
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience and knowledge of network design and system architecture is
desired. CCEA and MCSE are preferred. The successful applicant must have a positive customer service attitude
and be willing to travel as required.
